Resistance Band Tricep Pushdown
The Resistance Band Tricep Pushdown is a standing pushdown from a high door anchor that works the Triceps. It feels very similar to a Cable Pushdown in the gym.
- Muscles Worked
- Triceps (Triceps Brachii) · also Core (Stabilizing)
- Equipment
- Door anchor, Resistance band(s), 2 ankle straps
Set Up
- Anchor:
- Secure the band(s) with the door anchor at the top of the door.
- Bands:
- Clip a closed ankle strap to each end of the band(s). Grip the loop of each strap with your fingers inside the loop and your thumb outside.
- Body Position:
- Stand facing the door, 3 to 4 feet away, with your back flat, chest up and a slight forward bend at the waist. Start with your upper arms in line with your body, elbows tight to your sides and hands at chest height, 8 inches apart, palms facing in.
Movement
Push your hands down until they are just below your hips and your arms are straight. Let your hands rise under control back to chest height.
