Do you have a wall chart that shows all of the exercises?

Unfortunately we no longer have a wall chart that displays all of the exercises.. We had stopped producing the wall chart a number of years ago and do not include it in any of the systems.

We are however considering making one again.

How do I clean my bands?

To clean and condition the bands we recommend a 3rd party product called Trinova Plastic & Trim Restorer found on Amazon here:

https://www.amazon.com/TriNova-Plastic-Trim-Restorer-Motorcycles/dp/B01AAZ1OAE

How long are the Bodylastics resistance bands?

Bodylastics resistance bands are approx. 54 inches from clip end to clip end when the band is not stretched. The bands will fully stretch up to 4 times their length (approx. 16 feet) before the Snap Guard cord prevents them from stretching any further.

I am seeing a white powder looking coating on my bands. Are they safe to use?

What you are seeing is the talc powder used in the manufacture of the bands coming to the colored surface of the latex.

It is normal in time and use for bands, especially if they haven't been used on a regular basis. The whiteish color you are seeing doesn't affect the integrity of the band and is just a cosmetic imperfection.

You can clean this white coating off and recondition the bands using a 3rd party product called Trinova Pastic and Trim restorer found on Amazon here:
https://www.amazon.com/TriNova-Plastic-Trim-Restorer-Motorcycles/dp/B01AAZ1OAE

If your resistance bands haven't been used in a very long time it will be a good idea to inspect the bands very closely for any kind of cracking or splitting in the latex. If you see any cracks or splits  you should not use the bands and contact us for a warranty replacement

Can I use a wall anchor?

In order to properly anchor the bands to their wall anchors, you will need to use the small anywhere anchor and then thread your bands through that. The bands can only be thread through the padded loop of any of our anchors to ensure that they are safely able to expand and contract. You can find the Bodylastics Small Anywhere Anchor here: https://bodylastics.com/product/small-heavy-duty-anywhere-anchor/

In order to ensure that you are safely using and anchoring your bands, here is a list of common mistakes that will cause a band to break including threading your bands against a hard surface.

When I add up your resistance claimed on your sets I only get half that if I add up all the bands. How do you calculate your resistance levels?

The total resistance of a system is calculated by adding up the resistance of all the bands in the set and then multiplying by 2 to account for each end of the bands.

For example, if you take the 5lb. green band and anchor one end and stretch a it to twice it's length you will be getting 5lbs. of resistance. If you stretch it to 4 times its length you will get 10 lbs of resistance. If you anchor the band in the middle and have each end of the band attached to it's own handle, each end will be giving you the resistance of 2 bands so 10 and 20lbs respectively.

There is a small bump/lump on my band. Should I be concerned?

In very rare cases you may receive a band that has a small bump on the surface. The small lump you are seeing is nothing to worry about. The bands are manufactured in what is called a "Continuous Dip" process. This means the latex is dipped over and over multiple times to form the tube. This process results in a very strong band that is highly resistant to snapping. During this process, latex can sometimes form very small deposits on the band. This will not affect the integrity of the band at all and is simply an extra small deposit of latex that forms on the outer layers.

How do I tell if my bands have the Snap Guard cord inside of the band?

The Bodylastics Snap Guard cord was introduced into all of the bands in 2011-2012.

You cannot see or feel the cord when looking at or squeezing the resistance band.

To tell if your bands have the cord, take one of the bands and fold the clip webbing aside so you can look down the end of the tube. Take a flash light or bright light and look down the end of the tube and you should see a black stopper ball with the end of the white cord about an inch down inside the tube. This is the end of the Snap Guard cord. If you do not see this ball and white cord, then your bands do not have the anti-snap cord inside them.
